lost contacts on ios10 update
i have lost my conacts after software update and i do not use the icloud
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10
Sync your device with iTunes on the computer you sync with. Or erase and restore to your latest iTunes backup.

Thanks for trying but I don't use itunes either!
Where do you store your contacts?
Sync them from there.
Nothing should be stored only on the iPhone.
The iPhone simply allows you to access your computers or cloud content from your device.
Then I'm afraid you are out of luck. If they don't exist anywhere else, there is no way to get them back on your phone....

Did your device get wiped? Maybe you need to add an email account that you had before. They could have been associated with a gmail or other email account.
